Film über Berliner „Punks des Corona-Widerstands“ in Los Angeles nominiert.
Letzte Woche feierte der provokant-lustige, abendfüllende Dokumentarfilm „Freedom Parade – Tanz um dein Leben!“ auf dem LA Punk Film Festival in Los Angeles seine US-Premiere. Er lief im Wettbewerb um den besten ausländischen Dokumentarfilm. Das Festival zeigte zahlreiche US- und internationale Produktionen, darunter auch „That Sucks“, an dem Hollywood-Legende Weird Al Yankovic mitwirkte.
„Freedom Parade – Tanz um dein Leben“, der professionell produzierte Film über die „Punks des Corona-Widerstands“ entstand in Berlin unter Redaktion von Michael Bründel alias Captain Future ohne jede kommerzielle Filmförderung. Zahlreiche deutsche und internationale Unterstützer halfen bei der Realisierung. Bei Schnitt und Struktur beriet der mehr als 30-fach international preisgekrönte deutsche Filmregisseur Alexander Tuschinski. Kamera führte unter anderem der Aktivist und Journalist Steve Schramm. „Freedom Parade – Tanz um dein Leben!“ hat eine Laufzeit von 119 Minuten und ist sowohl auf Deutsch als auch auf Englisch auf zahlreichen Plattformen kostenlos online verfügbar.
Captain Future und die Freedom Parade, die „renitenten Feierbiester“ aus Berlin (Spiegel TV), gaben in der Corona-Zeit mit ihren Videos und Aktionen seit April 2020 vielen Menschen Mut. Durch Tanz, Musik und lustige Provokationen verbreiteten sie auch an schweren Tagen gute Laune. Egal, wie oft sie auch von der Polizei abgeführt wurden – sie blieben frech, fröhlich und immer friedlich.
Tausende Likes und Kommentare beweisen – viele Menschen lieben die Freedom Parade und Captain Future. Der Mainstream dagegen betitelt die „Idioten“ (heute Show) als „gestört“ (Spiegel TV), der derzeitige Gesundheitsminister Karl Lauterbach findet gar, ihr „gut gelaunter, narzisstischer Egoismus“ sei „schwer zu ertragen.“ Mit „Freedom Parade – Tanz um dein Leben!“ kann sich jetzt ein weltweites Publikum eine eigene Meinung bilden.
Die Weltpremiere fand am 1. Oktober 2022 in Berlin vor 200 geladenen Gästen statt. Die US-Premiere auf dem LA Punk Film Festival war am 10. Oktober 2022. Der Film ist kostenlos auf mehreren Video-Plattformen und auf freedomparade.de zu sehen.

World Premiere: Captain Future‘s provocative documentary film on resistance against corona measures in Film about Berlin’s „punks of corona resistance“ nominated in Los Angeles
Last week, the provocative and funny feature-length documentary film “Freedom Parade – Dance for your Life!” had its US premiere in Los Angeles at LA Punk Film Festival. It was screened in competition in the category Best International Documentary. The festival screened numerous American and international productions, including „That Sucks“, a film that involves Hollywood legend Weird Al Yankovic.
„Freedom Parade – Dance for your Life!“ is a professionally produced film about the “punks of German corona resistance” and the corona time in Germany. It was made under artistic supervision of Michael Bründel aka. Captain Future. The production took place without any commercial background, assisted by many German and international supporters. Editing consultant during post production was Alexander Tuschinski, a German film director whose works have received more than 30 international awards. Among the cinematographers was activist and journalist Steve Schramm. “Freedom Parade – Dance for your Life!” has a runtime of 119 minutes and is available online for free in a German and in an English version on numerous platforms.
Captain Future and the Freedom Parade, the „unruly party animals“ from Berlin (Spiegel TV), gave courage to many people in the corona time with their videos and actions since April 2020. With dance, music and funny provocations, they spread joy even during difficult days. No matter how often they were taken away by the police – they remained cheeky, cheerful and always peaceful.
Thousands of likes and comments prove that many people in Germany love the Freedom Parade and Captain Future. German mainstream media, however, calls these “idiots” (heute Show) “crazy” (Spiegel TV), Germany’s current minister of health, Karl Lauterbach, even said that “their happy, narcissistic egoism” would be “hard to bear”. With “Freedom Parade – Dance for your Life!”, a world wide audience can now form an opinion.
On October 1st, the film had its world premiere in Berlin for 200 invited guests. The US premiere at LA Punk Film Festival took place on October 10, 2022. „Freedom Parade – Dance for your Life!“ is available for free on various video platforms and on freedomparade.de
